| The body. Many believe that it houses a soul. Either way, it is our physical presence in this world. It is eroticized. It is politicized. It is art, athleticism, decay and disease. It is bought and sold. It is denied. Challenged. Celebrated. Worshipped. The body has its own language, it speaks. Koe. | 肉体。そこには霊魂が宿ると信ずる人は多い。霊魂の存在を信じる、信じないは別として、肉体がこの世の物理的実在であることに変わりは無い。それはエロチックな存在、政治化された存在にもなれば、芸術にもなるし、アスリートにもなる。肉体は病むこともあるし年老いて弱っていくことも避けられない。肉体が「売買」されることもある。権利を否定されたり苦難に見舞われることもあれば、祝福されたり崇拝の対象ともなる。そして肉体は独自の言語「声」を発する存在である。 |
